Hi Ho! Scoring exploded this week! Jordan sets a new league record for most points in a single game while running away with the Broads division and best record. Dismal Dana continues to lose while the rest of the Bros division battles it out to see who the top two will be. The Kommish extends his lead in the Broads. Week 8 is in the books. Jordan and James are the top two points scorers, but Jordan is dominating this year with a 155-point lead. Everyone continues to score well versus the Kommish who has had the most points scored against him by 136 points.

Kermit the Kommissioner (James) vs BoBo the Bear (Steve)

175.62 - 129.88

Thanks to our side bet with my brother, I may actually win a little money this year. I had my doubts after Bateman busted after reinjuring his foot. The projections were back and forth during the early games, but I freight-trained him during the late afternoon games. I got lucky Zeke was out this week so Pollard could get all the touchdowns. Houston had no answers for the King who ran for more than 200 yards and 2 TDs. Thanks, Ashlyn. My brother was hoping the return of Swift could boost him to a win, but Swift got very few carries. I did put a jinx on Campbell by texting my brother it was a good roster move over McLaurin. He he he. It wouldn't have mattered this week.

Dr. Honeydew (Travis) vs Abby (Ashlyn)

129.10 - 127.80

ree

What a brutal loss for the Rookie. It's partly my fault as a dad for convincing her to trade Henry and Lamar to me. She still could have pulled off the win if Hurts didn't leave the game early due to the blowout or if Irv didn't get injured or if the Saints' offense didn't stink all day. While I hurt her with the trade this week, I helped her by beating Steve's arse to keep her ahead of him for 2nd place in the Broads division. Travis keeps his slim hopes alive in the Beards division with the win. Stevenson has been the anomaly with NE running backs this year. He has emerged as the workhorse in a traditionally RBBC backfield. It's going to be interesting come divisional games when Travis should be back to full strength. Travis did get a scare with Kupp getting a late ankle injury in trash time.

Scooter (Gary) vs Animal (Paul)

107.24 - 103.02

ree

Poor Paul. I put the jinx on him again. Sorry, not sorry. Higbee was a higbust with only 2 catches for 15 yards before getting a nasty stinger, Woods had a costly fumble, and Eno returned to a JAG. Even so, all Paul needed was McPherson to make the 47-yarder and the PAT to win. Kickers. They suck. Right, Paul? The loss drops him two games behind the Kommish in the Beards division, but he still has the tiebreaker over Justin for 2nd place. With all his studs on bye, Gary steals a win to lead the Bros division. I have not been a believer in Gary's team. I guess I need to start. Gary is stumbling to the playoffs as Lloyd and Harry stumbled across the suitcase full of money. Jordan and Gary will run off with all our money if they finish 1st and 2nd. There's good competition between Tracy who just acquired Saquon and David's team. The top two teams could come down to tie-breakers.

Gonzo the Great (Justin) vs Miss Piggy (Dana)

135.82- 97.82

ree

Dismal Dana's team continues to struggle to score. Adams had the flu this week and took the week off even though he played. The late notification that Hubbard was out this week screwed her since Drake had already played. She was forced to grab Chase Edmonds to meet our League starting lineup requirements. He wasn't much better than an empty slot with 1.4 points. Najee continues to be nauseous to watch. Wins are slim. She is so buried in the points for there is no hope she can avoid the Crapper playoffs. With both Linda and Dana likely to make the Crapper playoffs, I will be a gentleman and spare them the embarrassment of having to share the Crapper with Jon. After 7 years, I think it is time Jon retires. Justin continues to keep things close with back-to-back wins. You can never count the 3x Champ out.

Oscar the Grouch (Tracy) vs Elmo (Jordan)

92.60 - 246.84

A week after Gary almost breaks the single-game scoring record, Jordan smashes it! It was just a matter of time with this all-star lineup. We can already start engraving his name on the Total Points trophy again. I'm in second place, but I am 150+ points behind. He is on pace to smash my season-long scoring record. The record is an average of 146.95 ppg. Jordan is currently averaging 155.89 ppg. We're all just hoping he has an off week during the playoffs. It's our only hope. With the loss, Tracy still holds onto the Bros division lead due to the early head-to-head tiebreaker. He may still be in the Bros lead, but he was dead last in points this week to earn the Poopsie Award.

Fozzy the Bear (David) vs Janice (Linda)

161.54 - 142.28

ree

There's the loser Linda we know and love. Her unlikely two-game win streak comes to an end. Ironic, since she had one of her best points totals of the year. There was a chance she could have won if the Bengals hadn't busted on primetime. They looked bad without Chase. Even after scoring 142 points, Linda is still second to last in points. Only Dana's dismal season has been worse. With everyone except Jordan at 3-5 in the Broads division, she still has a chance to avoid the Crapper bracket if Lucky Linda can return down the stretch. Even with the win, David falls to 3rd in the Bros division based on NFL.com head-to-head tie-breaker rules which is weird. David beat Gary. Gary beat Tracy. Tracy beat David. David has more points than Tracy. How is he 3rd? I decided to look it up (NFL Tie-breaking Procedures | NFL Football Operations). It seems David is 3rd based on Strength of Victory.
